80%
of information following a first appoint is misunderstood or forgotten.
15%
of diagnoses in modern healthcare are incorrect.
15%
of cancers are inherited and can often be predicted.  Health systems are not testing for this.
70%
of heart attacks are not preceded by symptoms yet most can be delayed or prevented.  The healthcare industry doesn’t focus on prevention.

Prioritize your health.

Healthcare is becoming increasingly expensive and harder to access.  Often patients wait months to see a doctor or start on their clinical journey.  And when they do, mistakes and miscommunication can happen, often at no fault of the patient.

Part of the problem is building a structured clinical picture for you as the patient.  We work with you to ensure that you know what is going on and that you and your medical team have the best current treatment available in your healthcare system.  That will involved a review of what current ‘Standard of Care’ is for your particular condition.

Medicine is also becoming personalised, in that each person’s treatment plan can vary even when they have the same disease or disorder.  ‘Precision Medicine’ is the name for treatment plans that target a specific patient’s disease and often means that targeted treatments need to be developed for individual care.  Increasingly in disease like cancer this will become the Standard of Care.

When you’re unwell, we will maximise your options and knowledge for recovery.  When you’re well, we will help you prevent disease.

Our founder discusses how we work with you

How It Works:

1. Individual with a Problem

The journey begins when a patient identifies a health issue or concern that requires attention. This could range from symptoms of a chronic condition to questions about treatment options.

2. 20-Minute Assessment Discussion (Free)

The patient engages in a preliminary discussion, typically lasting about 20 minutes, to assess their situation. This initial consultation is offered at no cost and serves to clarify the patient's concerns and gather essential information.

3. Decision to Proceed

Following the assessment discussion, the patient decides whether to move forward with a more in-depth evaluation. This decision is based on the insights gained during the initial conversation and the patient's comfort level with the proposed next steps.

4. In-Depth Assessment of Situation

If the patient chooses to proceed, a thorough assessment is conducted. This involves a detailed review of the patient's medical history, current symptoms, and any previous treatments. The goal is to fully understand the patient's unique situation.

5. Development of Options in Light of Current Standard of Care and Leading Edge Research

Based on the in-depth assessment, a range of treatment options is developed. This process considers the current standard of care as well as the latest advancements in medical research, ensuring that the patient is informed about all possible avenues for treatment.

6. TopCoverHealth Summary Suggestions and Questions to Treating Clinician/Team

After evaluating the options, a summary of suggestions and pertinent questions is prepared for the patient's treating clinician or healthcare team. This document serves as a bridge between the patient and their healthcare providers, facilitating informed discussions about the best course of action.

7. TopCoverHealth Advocacy

Advocacy support is provided to the patient. This often involves direct communication with healthcare providers, assistance in navigating the healthcare system, or support in understanding treatment plans and options. The goal is to ensure that the patient's voice is heard and their needs are met throughout their healthcare journey.

8. Ongoing Support and Review of Latest Evidence

Support may be needed in a continuous fashion with regular check-in’s to assess well-being and progress with clinician/ treating team follow up and communications. Additionally, we continuously review high impact medical journals for changes to best practice or new research.
